Oxford Climate Society and InTandem Publications are collaborating to produce the third RISE zine, celebrating creativity in the face of climate change. This issue’s theme will be Not Back to Normal, exploring the environmental impact and opportunities of the Covid-19 crisis.
We’ve had many brilliant submissions of poetry, prose, short fiction, illustration and photography. As the next stage of the zine creation process, we are now looking for people to help us ‘build’ the zine pages from home. This is a really fun creative process where you can use various techniques such as collaging and illustration to build a page that presents the piece in your unique way (check out some example pages from RISE 2 below!). All you need to do is let us know your address and we will post you one of the pieces to be included in the zine along with all the info you need to add your creative voice to the page.
If you’re interested in being part of this next stage in the creation of RISE, pop us an email by Sunday 6th September. You can expect to receive your package by 15th September and you will then have 2 weeks to complete your page before sending it back to us to compile and print alongside the amazing team at Oxford’s eco printers GreenPrint.
The zine will be available in print and online.
RISE is an annual zine celebrating creativity in the face of climate change. You can buy a hard copy of the first two editions of the zine here.
